COMPANY BACKGROUND
In 2003, Mr. Verrecchia met Gian Andrea Tinazzi the CEO of Casa Vinicola Tinazzi, one of Italy’s grand and award winning wine makers from the province of Verona. The duo struck up a friendship and talk of working together began. The dream became a reality in the spring of 2005 when Mr. Verrecchia purchased Terranova Imports and the two companies established a business relationship with Terranova “Imports being the sole exclusive agent of the Tinazzi winery in Americas.

The Terranova offices and temperature controlled warehouse are strategically located at the Bridge Street exit of Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia’s historical Frankford Arsenal; today known as the Arsenal Business Center.

Terranova participates on an on going basis in wine and food events.

Terranova is a team of twenty five individuals divided into sales, administration, distribution, marketing and logistics.

Today, thanks to its hard working staff and associates, Terranova has reached multi million dollars sales levels and is proud to list some of the best restaurants, caterers, country clubs and retail outlets in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York, as well as the Atlantic City Casinos as its customers. The distribution arm of the company also has made it possible for other parts of the United States to enjoy wines. Currently, the wines are distributed in Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, California, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and the Carolinas. The future of the company is bright and in its immediate future, Terranova will target the market in Nevada and the city of Las Vegas.

Forbes magazine recognized Mr. Verrecchia and Terranova Imports for a 2006 Forbes Enterprise Award, the only beverage company to earn such a distinction.

Terranova Imports is the official Wine Sponsor of the Italian Consulate of Philadelphia.

Terranova is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, The Main Line Chamber Of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of Verona (Italy), an associate member of the Greater Hotel Association of Philadelphia and other civic and economic organizations.
